No. Fucking. Way. Huayra 0.7s off a Veyron?
But the more astounding bit is the top two. Even I didn’t expect the Fezza and 918 to be that close.

For all the hype over the Huayra I did not expect it to come in behind the Veyron. I’m also kind of surprised it is so behind on pace compared to the three hypercars.

That’s because, for all the advancements the Huayra has, it’s tiered with the Aventador in its own group with the F12berlinetta, which are all non-hybrid V12 cars (though methinks it’ll whiz past the McLaren F1). I think it came down to straight-line speed. I’ll bet $100 the Huayra can take on the big Bug in the corners, but on a power track like the one these guys tested in, the Veyron can make up the closing-ins by running hard.

Same goes for the Fezza. See that gap between that and the 918? All straight-line rebound. LaF wouldn’t really lose as much in the corners, but a 950 hp V12+KERS combo is a lot.
You know what’s more surprising? The P1. I’ve pretty much conceded to the thing, but 0.4+ looks like a bit of a faff for a car with that much downforce and chassis stability.

as big and as heavy as the veryon is, and as much of a tank that it is in the corners.
its got the power to reel in dam near anything it fucking wants to on the straights.

That’s what I pointed out in one comment, too. The Huayra can brake later and turn in quicker than the Veyron SS, and damn hell it can overtake on apex or far out with impunity, but like I said to AddictedtoM3’s, the Veyron can just duck out and whiz past.

Makes sense. Haven’t seen the video yet. I’ll have to watch it closely now to see how the track comes into play.

With enough shop-fu one can pretty much put the Fezza on this side for comparison. It’s that close.

So to recap, the 918 wins from a dig up to about 100 mph and has the upper hand (just) on tighter, more technical tracks, but the POWA of the other two take over on circuits with longer straights, yes?
